All Real Estate Agents are the Same

Updated: Mar 4

I have heard this comment from a few people before and I may have even pondered at the thought to myself back in the day. You can't turn around the corner without running in to another real estate agent, right? A friend of a friend who has a mom who is a friend has an agent. Yadda yadda. I've heard it all before, but yet there was something inside me that made me really want to work hand in hand with clients on real estate transactions.

I've worked in Human Resources for over eighteen years and all I have ever done is listen and help people. Help them find their next exciting career. Help them progress through a tough situation. Help them find the right training or guide them down a path they desired. It was incredibly natural for me to cross over to the path of real estate because the conversations and transactions are somewhat similar in nature. Lots of emotions are involved, tough decisions, negotiations, selling, guiding, nurturing, and communicating. I developed very close relationships with people in the corporate working environment and for me, it's the same with real estate.

Back to the comment of all agents are the same. Yes, agents all have an end goal in mind (to help you find your next home), but how we got there and the future steps we take with you, may be completely different. Also, behind every agent is a team of people on the backend helping with your next move. When working with me on the LIV Sotheby's team, your home is represented by the Sotheby's International Realty® brand and you benefit from the worldwide recognition and prestige of the Sotheby's name. In fact, your home will be advertised to over 7,000 sites, where your typical brokerage firm will find ONLY 30-40 sites. Being that the first showing of your home will most likely be online, do you think working with LIV will help sell your home faster? Maybe....well....probably.

So when it comes to finding a real estate agent amongst the thousands that surround you, keep in mind where they came from, their motivation, and the team that is making sure those critical and often times emotional decisions you are making, provide you with as much confidence and comfort as you need.
